
Child Protection Specialist

We are seeking a qualified clinical psychologist to join our child protection and advocacy services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering forensic psychosocial and parenting assessments, undertaking psychological assessments, preparing high-standard forensic assessment reports, and delivering evidence-based psychological therapies.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivering comprehensive forensic psychosocial and parenting assessments to support child protection and identifying risk factors, effects of abuse, and therapeutic needs.
- Undertaking standardized psychological assessments of children, adolescents, and adults using reliable psychometric tools.
- Preparing accurate forensic assessment reports suitable for use in all Court jurisdictions (Youth, Family, and Criminal Courts).
- Delivering effective evidence-based psychological therapies to children and families to aid recovery and prevent further harm, in line with clinical practice standards.
- You hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia within an endorsed area of practice: Clinical.
- You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly, resolve conflicts, and collaborate effectively with diverse professionals.
- You have proven expertise in conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and producing high-quality reports.
- You have experience working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility across assessment, therapy, and urgent intervention roles.
- You have experience providing direct psychological services to children, adolescents, and their families affected by trauma.
- You have demonstrated clinical experience in the field of child protection and/or child and family mental health.
