The Manager, Forest and Fire Engagement leads the development, delivery and monitoring of high quality engagement and communications strategies for forest and fire management programs in the region.

The position supports effective engagement with and involvement of communities, stakeholders and partner agencies in the design and delivery of the Joint Fuel Management Program, Operational Forest Management Program and other priority forest and fire management works.

The Manager leads a teams of engagement experts to ensure the consistent, integrated and efficient delivery of engagement services that support regional partnerships and the delivery of forest and fire management works by the districts and region.
- Lead and manage the Engagement and Operational Communication team to ensure team regional, and divisional goals are achieved and services are provided in an effective and timely manner.
- Lead the FFOD Regional and District teams through complex engagement matters ensuring that all key partnership values are managed in accordance with legislation, agreements and the Department's direction.

**Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience of working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders and building strong working relationships (mandatory)
- A tertiary qualification in Communications and/or equivalent experience (desirable)
- Experience in or knowledge of Victoria's land management or emergency services (desirable)
- A current employee Working with Children Check or ability to obtain this (mandatory)

**This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Loddon Mallee region with hybrid work arrangements available.**
