Firefighter Role Overview

This Firefighter position is a crucial part of our Rescue & Fire Fighting (RFF) services team. Our services cover multiple states, including WA, SA, VIC, NSW, and QLD.

The successful candidate will respond to incidents as required and perform duties as directed by the Station Officer and Leading Firefighter.

Shift work may include day, night, weekends, and public holidays, but this position follows a specific roster pattern:

  • Monday to Thursday: 0800 - 1700 hours
  • Friday: 0800 - 1500 hours
Requirements

The ideal candidate must hold relevant qualifications, including PUAsafety certificate levels, such as PUASAFETY20613 Certificate II in Public Safety (Fire-fighting and Emergency Operations) and PUASAFETY30613 Certificate III in Public Safety (Fire-fighting and Emergency Operation).

  • Specific units from within the Certificate levels, including:
    • PUAFIR305B Respond to Aviation Incidents (General)
    • PUAFIR205B Respond to Aviation Incidents (Specialist)
    • PUAFIR209B Work safely around aircraft
    • Driver's Licence (MR & HR)
    • HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
    • HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid
    • HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation
  • Eligibility for Defence Security Clearance up to a level of negative vetting 1 (secret)
  • Ability to successfully pass an ARRFF pre-employment medical
