The Role

The Retail Operations Director will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day retail operations. This includes leading by example and driving the team to achieve set targets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence: Continually review operational reports and records to ensure company policies and procedures are being upheld.
  • Process Efficiency: Ensure the implementation of set up and set down processes are run smoothly.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Review daily reports and send them to relevant management to ensure all figures balance.
  • Inventories and Transfers: Monitor store transfers, damaged returns, and CS inventory to maintain correct levels of store inventory at all times.
  • Sales Team Management: Define responsibilities of sales team members to ensure tasks are completed to the expected standard.
  • Training and Development: Conduct orientation and regular training, coach, and develop the team.
  • Performance Improvement: Ensure store sales targets are continuously achieved.
  • Customer Service: Deal with elevated clients and support the team where necessary.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Liaise with SGA Human Resources Manager and Brand Manager on recruitment of the best candidates for the business.
  • Staff Performance Feedback: Provide ongoing feedback to the Brand Manager on staff performance.
  • e-Learning Compliance: To be always fully qualified in Tissot e-learning.
  • Sales Coaching: Conduct ongoing sales coaching to ensure selling skills are of the highest standard.
  • Event Planning: Work with TISSOT Marketing & Communications team to develop and co-ordinate events.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business Administration preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of retail experience in high-range/premium sector preferred.
  • Highly developed and proven customer service skills.
  • Proven staff management experience.
  • Computer literacy skills: Word, Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Numerical and financial skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management skills.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
