About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Director for our Erskine Park Distribution Centre in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader who prioritizes safety, operational efficiency, and team empowerment. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the Distribution Centre's operation, including safety, infrastructure, daily processes, budget management, and team development. This role combines leadership with operational expertise to drive sustainable results.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Distribution Centre with a strong focus on safety and employee well-being, ensuring compliance with all site safety protocols and fostering a safe, supportive environment.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve operational delivery, efficiency, and brand/product operating requirements.
  • Ensure profitability by applying sound budgeting principles, controlling operating expenses, and optimizing productivity to strike the balance between cost and service.
  • Develop the team's capability across DC Operations, including Managers, Shift Managers, and Team Managers, and ensure clear leadership on training and development planning and execution.

About You

We are looking for a seasoned professional with experience in leading Warehouses and/or Distribution Centres, preferably in Retail, FMCG, or multi-brand warehousing. You should have expert Safety Leadership, including PCBU requirements, and KPI management skills to ensure key metrics are met while maintaining employee well-being.

In addition, you should have:

  • Experience in commercial management, including budget build and active management of cost and productivity measures for a DC.
  • Knowledge of implementing Continuous Improvement programs or methodologies and delivery of CI programs through teams/direct reports.
  • Ability to build high-performing and engaged teams, up to Leadership levels.
