Senior Leader for Ambulance Operations

About the Role
Ambulance services require senior leaders to drive strategic direction and leadership to specialist operations and coordination divisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, improving accessibility and responsiveness of emergency services, and driving integration and innovation across the division.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ambulance service operations, including development, implementation, and evaluation of service delivery and operational programs. They will also possess strong knowledge of state-wide telecommunications technology and communications, as well as excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing executive leadership and oversight of all aspects of the SOC division
- Offering strategic and operational advice to support divisional and AV-wide goals
- Driving integration and innovation across the division to improve coordination, care, and management of complex patients
- Fostering teamwork and effective collaboration with system partners and stakeholders
- Promoting a safe, lawful, respectful workplace culture and building regional capability for cultural integration and wellbeing
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic senior leader with extensive healthcare experience at the senior level. The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary or postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical discipline
- Extensive senior experience in ambulance service operations
- Strong knowledge of state-wide telecommunications technology and communications
- Proven ability to advance clinical knowledge through problem-solving and systems thinking
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Coaching, mentoring, and leadership experience managing a large, diverse workforce across multiple locations
