**About the Home Support Specialist role**

This position involves providing assistance, support and encouragement of independence to clients in their chosen community.

We have available shifts across Brisbane and surrounding suburbs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping with cleaning, shopping, meal preparation and other light housework;
  • Assisting with transport to appointments and undertaking personal shopping;
  • Providing personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care;
  • Assisting with medication administration;
  • Supporting clients in developing a consumer-driven care plan.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification;
  • Completion of the unit of competency HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication, or ability to acquire;
  • Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates;
  • A current driver's license and willingness to use your own comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes;
  • Physical capacity to perform the required duties;
  • A National Police Certificate or ability to obtain.
