The Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that has been caring for the Broome community for over 40 years.

We have a team of around 15 GPs, mostly part-time, who work with compassion and great care, to provide first-class comprehensive health services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples of Broome and the surrounding area.

We are in need of more caring GPs who want to make a difference and be well rewarded for their efforts. No experience in rural or Indigenous health is required, as training will be provided in a supportive and enriching environment.

Benefits

  • $245,000-$275,000 pro rata salaried positions (approx. GBP 125,000-GBP 140,000) (depending on level of experience)
  • 38 hours week, 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, no weekends, on-call negotiable (but is not very onerous)
  • 6 weeks Annual Leave
  • 2 weeks Development leave/Study leave
  • Annual Airfare
  • Mobile Phone allowance
  • 10.5% Superannuation (Pension, paid on top of your salary)
  • Flexible working – full to part time, short to long term contracts
  • Access to Workforce Incentive Program (WIP) which is paid on top of every year served in the regional areas

Broome is a popular tourist destination, especially during the dry season, with incredible weather, amazing beaches, and plenty to see and do.
