About the Role

In this challenging position, you will drive business growth for Marsh Pty Ltd within Australia and New Zealand. This entails leading insurance due diligence engagements for clients across private equity, corporate, and financial institutions, while coordinating services from various Marsh practices to deliver exceptional results.

You will utilize your expertise to advise clients on risks associated with acquisitions, divestments, PPPs, and project financing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the expansion of the Marsh brand in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Prepare and present due diligence reports.
  • Coordinate services provided by other Marsh practices.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff members.
  • Serve as a liaison to overseas professionals across the globe.
  • Foster relationships with private equity firms, law firms, accounting firms, investment banks, and financial institutions to leverage these connections into future business opportunities.
  • Respond to RFPs.
  • Stay informed about changing risk and insurance market conditions through active internal communication.
  • Liaise with internal Marsh practices to implement insurance placements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in insurance broking and account management for corporate and/or global accounts.
  • Prior experience in a Due Diligence role or demonstrated experience working with clients considering M&A in an insurance broking context, FSRA Tier 1 compliance.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Strong data analysis, research, report writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $120,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
