Engineering Leadership Opportunity

This leadership role focuses on driving innovation and efficiency in engineering practices at an established underground coal mine.

The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strong leadership, and strategic thinking to develop and lead a high-performing engineering team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the site's maintenance and reliability strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage engineering budgets and contribute to annual mine planning processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and digitalization in engineering practices.
  • Embed a positive safety culture across engineering operations.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • NSW Practising Certificate as Manager of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Underground Coal).
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Project Management.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior engineering or leadership position within underground coal mining.
  • Strong understanding of HSEC and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Sound commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and engineering systems.
