Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our underground team and drive production objectives. Reporting to the Mine Manager, this role will utilize skills and knowledge to deliver systems of work and resources required to meet production targets.
This is a key role in the onboarding and training of the new underground workforce, including Undermanagers, Deputies, Operators, etc. The successful candidate will have proven leadership experience in an underground team environment and be able to manage oversight of the longwall, development and outbye areas.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement operating systems to support production requirements
- Manage performance targets and plans aligned to site production needs
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders
- Nationally recognized certification as an Undermanager or tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field
- Practical knowledge of mining equipment and processes
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet production objectives
