Job Title: Ventilation Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Ventilation Engineer to join our technical services team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the mine's ventilation infrastructure, ensuring compliance with site standards and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics of ventilation systems.
  • Execute detailed surveys, including airflow, gas levels, temperature, and dust sampling.
  • Develop and maintain ventilation plans, including emergency egress scenarios.
  • Interface with electrical departments to ensure optimal fan performance.
  • Support implementation of capital projects related to ventilation upgrades.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in underground metalliferous mining environment, with focus on ventilation engineering.
  • Proficient in ventilation modeling and survey techniques.
  • Experience with Ventsim and Deswik CAD (or equivalent mine planning tools).
  • Sound understanding of statutory ventilation requirements and best practices in underground health and hygiene.
