Are you a dynamic and charismatic individual who can bring joy and enthusiasm to the lives of our aged care residents daily? We are seeking a Senior Lifestyle and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team at RSL Lifecare in Ballina-Florence Price Gardens, a 120-bed residential care home.

About the Role

In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for engaging with our residents in a range of meaningful lifestyle and social activities to empower them to maintain their independence. You will create a holistic lifestyle program that applies the values of person-centered care, tailoring activities to meet the resident's cognitive and physical abilities and encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities.

  • Create a comprehensive lifestyle program that reflects the values of person-centered care.
  • Tailor activities to meet the unique needs and abilities of our residents.
  • Ensure residents receive thorough assessments to inform their integrated care plans.
  • Develop programs that enrich the lives of individuals and their families through leisure, lifestyle, learning & spiritual activities.
  • Coordinate outings that promote social connections and community engagement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Cert IV in Leisure and Health or relevant tertiary degree (desirable).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to assess residents' psychological, social, and emotional needs to identify any barriers to participation in lifestyle activities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with residents and their families/representatives.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Aged Care and associated accreditation requirements.
