Job Opportunity: Governance and Risk Management
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced professional to lead our governance, risk, and compliance functions. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for developing and improving frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing governance frameworks and policies;
- Oversight of internal audits and risk management in line with the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework;
- Building organisational capability and culture in governance and risk;
- Partnering with business units to embed best practices;
- Managing a high-performing team to deliver outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A strong understanding of the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework (VGRMF) and contemporary governance standards;
Proven experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks and policies;
Skilled in managing compliance activities, overseeing internal audits, and providing high-level advice to executives, boards, and audit and risk committees;
Exceptional communication skills to prepare clear, concise reports, policies, and training materials.
The ideal candidate will excel at leading high-performing teams, influencing stakeholders, and building a culture of accountability and transparency.
