Job Title: Senior Governance Advisor

This is a key role in the Executive Office that supports the division in advancing a high-performance culture by leading a small team to collaboratively develop and report on annual operational plans and oversee governance, risk, and stakeholder management functions.

The ideal candidate will provide strategic advice and support to the Executive Director and work collaboratively across the division to deliver high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders. They will have strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

The position requires:

  • Leading a team: Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities for staff to achieve their full potential.">
  • Collaboration and communication: Work closely with senior executives, managers, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and information sharing.">
  • Governance and risk management: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategies to manage risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.">
  • Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community groups.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, law, public policy).">
  • Significant experience in governance, risk management, or a related field.">
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.">
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and legislation related to governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.">
