Job Overview

This position plays a key role in the active portfolio management of the investment portfolio, focusing on risk and return perspectives. The Senior Associate will identify, analyze, and execute transactions to redistribute risk from the current portfolio to other banks and investors, as well as add risk through secondary loan markets where there is an appropriate return.

  • Financial Modelling
  • Transaction analysis, interpretation, and structuring for optimal outcomes for both the bank and clients
  • Compliance with prudential, policy, and risk appetite guidelines
  • End-to-end transaction execution from inception to financial close, including in-life management until the end of the transaction
  • Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Coverage, Capital Structuring, and support functions such as Risk, Tax, Finance, and Legal
  • Establishing relationships with external counterparties, including insurers, brokers, peers at banks (CPM and loan trading desks), and investors/funds
  • Resolving complex issues and meeting customer needs in structured and unstructured situations

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage risk and optimize returns in investment portfolios by identifying opportunities for redistribution or addition of risk through secondary loan markets.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance with prudential, policy, and risk appetite guidelines.
  • Analyze financial data to determine optimal structures for transactions that meet client requirements while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Execute transactions efficiently from inception to completion, ensuring timely closure and effective in-life management.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY STAKEHOLDERS: Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across Coverage, Capital Structuring, and support functions such as Risk, Tax, Finance, and Legal.
  • ESTABLISH EXTERNAL PARTNERSHIPS: Establish relationships with external counterparties, including insurers, brokers, peers at banks (CPM and loan trading desks), and investors/funds.
  • MANAGE COMPLEXITY: Work in structured and unstructured situations to resolve complex issues and meet customer needs effectively.
