We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Officer to join our team at headspace Kalgoorlie. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting mental health awareness and providing support to young people in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement community awareness programs to promote mental health and wellbeing among young people.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, including community groups and service providers, to deliver health promotion activities and events.
- Provide support and guidance to the Youth Advisory Group, ensuring their voice is represented in all aspects of our work.
- Manage and maintain our website and social media platforms to engage with young people and promote our services.
- Produce high-quality promotional materials and documents to communicate with our target audience.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a clinical discipline, such as psychology, mental health, or social work.
- Experience working with young people, particularly those from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to develop and implement community awareness programs, including event planning and coordination.
- Proficiency in information technology, including software packages and data collection tools.
- Experience working in the Not-for-Profit and/or public health sector.
- Experience in a youth organization, coordinating programs and events.
