Hope Community Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Safety Advocate to join our team in Kalgoorlie.
This is a fixed-term, full-time position, working 76 hours per fortnight, until 15th August 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and advocacy services to women and children experiencing family violence.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct intake and risk assessments to identify client needs and develop comprehensive case management strategies.
- Provide one-on-one support to clients, building trust and promoting their safety and well-being.
- Facilitate access to information, services, and resources to empower clients to make informed decisions about their lives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, adhering to the Western Australian Family and Domestic Violence Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework.
- A social service degree or diploma (desirable) and/or significant relevant experience in the field of family violence prevention.
- Cultural skills, knowledge, and networks to effectively engage with diverse client groups.
- Knowledge and experience working with men who use violence and the survivors of family violence.
- A competitive salary of $43.08 per hour + superannuation + $2.78 regional allowance, reflecting the essential role you will play in supporting vulnerable members of our community.
