Job Overview

Centrecare is a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to delivering quality professional counselling, support, accommodation, mediation and training services in Western Australia.

We are seeking experienced and qualified professionals to join our team as Community Mental Health Specialists, working with disadvantaged, vulnerable or hard-to-reach individuals in the Goldfields region.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality mental health services to clients across various settings. As a Community Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs and develop individualised care plans
  • Provide high-quality mental health services, including counselling, case management, and support
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Centrecare's services and programs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related field
  • Relevant experience working with children and families with complex needs
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing competing demands
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners
