About the Role

The People and Culture Manager will be a pivotal member of our executive team, responsible for shaping and executing our people strategy to align with BttB's mission and values.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that support organisational goals, focusing on talent acquisition, development, and retention.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a dedicated HR team, including an HR Manager and two HR Support Coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Learning and Development: Design and oversee programs that promote continuous staff development, ensuring our team possesses the skills and knowledge to support our mission effectively.
  • Organisational Culture: Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace environment that reflects our core values, enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to all relevant employment laws and regulations, maintaining best practices in HR policies and procedures.
  • Conflict Resolution: Manage workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and mediation processes to maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee payroll functions and other HR operations as needed, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

About Boys to the Bush

We are a community-focused not-for-profit organisation providing early intervention programs to help disengaged young males. Our mission is to support vulnerable youth and give them the tools they need to grow into strong, capable men.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably within the not-for-profit sector
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop HR teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

Salary Estimate

$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience
