Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to our organization. This role will perform an integral customer service function for the department and work in our office.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting or an administrative position with exposure to accounting, and will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. They will also possess excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • General administration, reception, and department support (15%): Provide administrative support to the team, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Accounts Payable (70%): Process and manage accounts payable, including invoicing, payment processing, and vendor management.
  • Asset Management: Tools (5%): Manage and maintain company assets, including tools and equipment.
  • Accounting Systems Administration (10%): Maintain and support accounting systems, including data entry, reporting, and system updates.
Requirements
  • 1 year experience in accounting or an administrative position with exposure to accounting.
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or finance considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communicator, relationship builder, and business leader.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and efficiency-seeking skills are highly beneficial.
