About the Role
This is a dynamic opportunity to lead a team of Security Officers/Control Room Operators at an iconic multifaceted complex in Melbourne's CBD. As a driven and passionate leader, you will be responsible for managing various functions such as Control Room operations, Facility Management support, Patrols, and Customer Service.
You will be supported and mentored by an experienced Security and Facilities Management team who want to see you succeed and deliver premium services to our customers, tenants, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to the facility management team to deliver exceptional service experiences.
- Produce high-quality reports and documentation.
- Ensure Contractor Compliance through site inductions, review, and processing of correct access/work permits.
- Maintain a flexible and focused work ethic.
- Be proactive in Safety and Security Risk identification and issue resolution.
- Train, guide, and mentor a team of Security Officers.
- Evaluate alarms, incidents, and emergencies, and provide the appropriate response.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Strong customer service skills and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
- An understanding of Building/Facilities Management and Contractor Compliance.
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience using Fire (FIP, EWIS, ASE) and Security Systems (CCTV, Access, DVM).
- Access Control and BMS systems experience, particularly with Honeywell systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- A client-centric approach with a positive attitude to change and continuous improvement.
- Leadership skills to drive and lead your team.
- A valid Victorian Security Licence (Control Room Endorsed).
- A current First Aid Certificate.

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
