About the Role
This Control Room Operator role is a critical position overseeing control room operations, monitoring CCTV feeds, and communicating with security personnel to address security breaches, alarms, and incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV footage for security issues and analyse the footage to identify potential threats.
- Communicate promptly with security personnel regarding incidents, ensuring effective response and resolution.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Maintain detailed records of events and incidents, providing accurate and timely reporting.
- Respond swiftly to alarms and emergencies, making informed decisions to ensure the safety of people and assets.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Control Room or Monitoring Station experience.
- Valid Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement.
- Certificate II or higher in Security Operations.
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
- Current driver's licence.
- Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain.
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comprehensive report writing skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including shifts and weekends.
