About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Strategic IoT Satellite Product Development Lead to join our team at Semtech in Melbourne, Australia.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the IoT Satellite portfolio, aligning with the company's strategic plan and goals. This role will involve interfacing with various functional areas of the company and external suppliers, as well as expanding to support other existing products upon the launch of our Satellite offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce product plans, specifying and managing priorities and release programs.
  • Gain a deep understanding of target customers and markets across the Satellite low-band landscape.
  • Define and document commercial requirements based on customer research, competitive analysis, and market trends, in partnership with engineering, prioritizing and scoping requirements into new product development projects.
  • Support the M2M Group sales team in presales activities as a subject matter expert.
  • Actively contribute to the management of new product development programs, including authoring user stories, reviewing and managing project deliverables, tracking and responding to project performance metrics.
  • Work in partnership with Marketing to drive product positioning, launch, and other commercialization activities, including defining key marketing messages, supporting the generation of marketing collateral, developing sales demos and tools.
  • Support the M2M Group sales and channel organization through regular product training, webinars, and product demos.
  • Develop and maintain connectivity pricing and relevant market pricing respective to assigned product portfolio.
  • Track and report on key management metrics of product lines, including sales and revenue targets, sales opportunity funnel metrics, and competitive updates, preparing and driving countermeasures where performance does not meet target expectations.
  • Perform benchmarking analysis on competitive products, providing feedback to sales and channel organizations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering/Computer Science or Business.
  • 2+ years of technology product management experience.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, ability to work closely with the M2M Group sales team and interact with customers and technology partners at a senior level.
  • Strong understanding of technical platforms and dependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes in a cross-functional, multi-disciplined team environment.

Salary:$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
