Expert Payroll Services Leader

The Department of Health seeks a seasoned payroll expert to oversee our payroll services.
Main Responsibilities- Stay up-to-date on issues affecting departmental employees and lead critical projects that develop policies, professional standards, and operating procedures.
- Foster strong connections across departments and with external stakeholders to facilitate a collaborative approach.
- Identify and manage emerging risks and areas of concern for the government, department, and community.
- Work with senior management to establish and achieve key performance indicators and standards.
- Support individuals to reach their full potential and contribute to organisational goals and outcomes.
- Model behaviours integral to good people management and departmental values.
- Monitor specific improvement objectives in annual improvement plans related to the area of responsibility.
- Proactively build and maintain positive relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organisation.
- Provide strategic thinking and future planning to enhance payroll customer service levels, reduce processing errors, and ensure responsive payroll services.
- Represent the department on key government and non-government committees and bodies.
- Monitor and review the quality of payroll services and systems, making recommendations for continuous improvement in service delivery and quality.
