About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of WHS Business Partner. This is a dynamic position that will involve working closely with operational leaders across multiple businesses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of the Safety Management Strategy and System, as well as actively coaching businesses on how best to implement system requirements and identify process improvements.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Champion the philosophy of prioritizing workplace safety.
  • Work collaboratively with business leaders to enhance their knowledge and understanding of accountabilities and system requirements.
  • Monitor and report on WHS performance, identifying opportunities to improve through risk reduction strategies.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers and the leadership team on safety performance, developments, and procedural and legislative requirements.
  • Drive business process improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery areas through a structured approach.
  • Manage significant incident investigation, reporting, and preventative action processes.
  • Collaborate with the nominated Return to Work Partner to oversee claims management advice and facilitate the timely, safe, and durable return to work of injured employees.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate critical risks across the business.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require degree or diploma qualifications in Workplace Health, Safety, or equivalent, and relevant industry experience within a national or multi-site setting. You should possess strong influencing and communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as logical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
