The successful candidate will have extensive experience in site-based HSE roles, particularly in operations or mining industries. They will be required to provide advice to village managers and employees, develop and implement effective risk management strategies, and conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to minimize workplace accidents and injuries;
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards;
  • Provide expert advice to village managers and employees on health and safety matters;
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive health and safety documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and maintain a robust health and safety management system;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in site-based HSE roles, preferably in operations or mining industries;
  • A strong understanding of OHS legislation, codes of practice, and Australian standards;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders;
  • A demonstrated commitment to innovation and quality service delivery;
  • Relevant certifications, such as Provide First Aid and CPR, C Class DL, 4WD Training, White Card, Cert IV TAE, and Injury Management.
