About the Tasmanian Community Fund
The Tasmanian Community Fund is a cornerstone for community development, enhancing the social, environmental, and economic wellbeing of Tasmanians since 1999. With over $137 million awarded to more than 3,000 projects, the organisation has positively transformed lives and strengthened communities across Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction for the TCF, promoting its objectives within the Tasmanian community.
- Assess and approve grants to non-profit community organisations, attending site visits, community events, and presentations.
- Approve annual operational and grant budgets to ensure financial sustainability and maximise the positive impact of TCF grants.
- Contribute to board committees and evaluate the performance of the TCF, its Board, and management.
About You
As a governance expert, you possess proven skills in strategic, independent, and diverse thinking, alongside sound decision-making abilities. You bring a deep understanding and empathy for diverse Tasmanian communities, particularly those in the north and north-western regions. Your lived experience working with or volunteering in disadvantaged communities showcases your commitment to making a positive impact.
Requirements
Ideal candidates possess a proven track record in systems change and influence, demonstrated experience in leading impactful communications across multiple platforms and audiences, and a strong understanding of rural and remote communities.
