Job Title: Senior Aged Care Nurse

About the Role:

This senior aged care nurse position involves managing and coordinating quality care for residents, working closely with a dedicated team of clinical staff to deliver person-centered care.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and inspire junior staff while ensuring care plans are tailored to the unique needs of each resident.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical assessments, update care plans, and make appropriate referrals.
  • Work collaboratively with residents to ensure care reflects their personal preferences.
  • Lead and monitor care delivery to meet Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, including Enrolled Nurses.
  • Facilitate training and development for team members as needed.
  • Ensure residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met, including personal care, medication administration, nutrition, mobility, and comfort.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered Nurse experience, with AHPRA registration.
  • Knowledge of the aged care sector and relevant standards (preferred).
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills with experience managing care teams.
  • Experience in client assessments and developing person-centered care plans.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
  • A National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old).
  • Up-to-date COVID and Flu Vaccinations (highly regarded).
