Risk Manager and Insurance Coordinator
Job DescriptionThe role coordinates and manages the organisation's enterprise risk management, internal audit, and insurance portfolios.
This position ensures the development, implementation, and communication of audit and risk frameworks to support organisational resilience and risk mitigation, and to ensure compliance with legislative and policy requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the independent internal audit program, including planning, procurement, and facilitating internal audits.
- Coordinate and support the Audit, Risk, and Improvement Committee including preparing, implementing, and reporting on action plans in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply the Organisation's Enterprise Risk Management Framework, which includes processes for the identification, mitigation, and appropriate management of risks.
- Manage the planning, implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of the Business Continuity Plan in collaboration with all business units.
- Manage the insurance portfolio, including claims, policy renewals, and liaising with the insurer to ensure effective management and mitigation of risk in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Communicate with and educate managers and staff to ensure a strong understanding of enterprise risk management principles and practice.
Requirements include a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, significant experience in Enterprise Risk Management and/or Insurance, strong communication and organisational skills, and demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office Software and database use.
