Enterprise Risk Manager

This role is responsible for coordinating and managing the enterprise risk management, internal audit, and insurance portfolios.

  • Coordinate the independent internal audit program, including planning, procurement, and facilitating internal audits. This involves developing audit plans, managing vendors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Audit, Risk, and Improvement Committee by preparing and implementing action plans with internal and external stakeholders. This includes conducting stakeholder analysis, identifying key risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Apply the Council's Enterprise Risk Management Framework to identify, mitigate, and manage risks. This involves assessing risk likelihood and impact, developing risk treatment plans, and monitoring risk progress.
  • Develop and implement a Business Continuity Plan in collaboration with business units. This includes conducting business impact analyses, developing recovery plans, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage the Council's insurance portfolio, ensuring effective claims management and policy renewals. This involves analyzing insurance data, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Communicate enterprise risk management principles and practices to managers and staff. This includes providing training, coaching, and guidance on risk management best practices.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in risk management, internal audit, or a related field
