About The Position
This position coordinates and manages Council's enterprise risk management, internal audit, and insurance portfolios, ensuring the development, implementation, and communication of audit and risk frameworks to support organisational resilience and risk mitigation, and to ensure compliance with legislative and policy requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the independent internal audit program, including planning, procurement, and facilitating internal audits.
- Coordinate and support the Audit, Risk, and Improvement Committee including preparing, implementing, and reporting on action plans in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply Council's Enterprise Risk Management Framework, which includes processes for the identification, mitigation, and appropriate management of risks.
- Manage the planning, implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of Council's Business Continuity Plan in collaboration with all business units.
- Manage Council's insurance portfolio, including claims, policy renewals, and liaising with Council's insurer to ensure effective management and mitigation of risk in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Communicate with and educate managers and staff to ensure a strong understanding of enterprise risk management principles and practice.

About You
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, and/or significant experience in Enterprise Risk Management and/or Insurance.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated advanced competence in the use of Microsoft Office Software and database use.
- Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver the Job Specific Key Accountabilities (outlined in the Position Description).
- Demonstrated Advanced key capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table (outlined in the Position Description).
What We Offer
- Permanent full time, 35 hours per week
- Salary from $93,352 to $104,847 per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation
