Urban Planning Lead

We are seeking an experienced Urban Planning professional with a strong track record of delivering high-impact land use planning and policy projects.

As an Urban Planner Lead, you will provide expert advice and insights to clients on urban planning strategies and policies. You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of strategic land use plans, including growth strategies, precinct plans, employment and housing studies, and supporting technical inputs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive land use plans that balance economic, social, and environmental considerations.
  • Provide in-depth analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional and local priorities, and stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including specialists in economics, urban design, transport, infrastructure advisory, community planning, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Your Qualifications:
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Have at least 3 years' experience in an Urban Planning role, preferably gained in a consultancy or local/state government environment.
  • Have strong knowledge of strategic planning, project management, and team leadership.
