Senior Town Planner Opportunity

A dynamic urban planning consultancy is seeking a senior town planner to contribute to shaping growing communities.

  • Support the preparation of planning approvals and statutory submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor junior planners, fostering their growth and development within the team.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of planning legislation and schemes, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, recommendations, and correspondence for clients, delivering high-quality results that meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with job managers to ensure timely delivery and budget management, maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Contribute significantly to project outcomes, providing valuable insights and expertise to drive success.
  • Communicate effectively with councils, state agencies, and community stakeholders, building trust and understanding through transparent and responsive engagement.
Requirements:
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Urban & Regional Planning or a related field, with recent completion or near-completion.
  • Possess 3+ years of experience in the industry, demonstrating a solid understanding of urban planning principles and practices.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Display a keen interest in statutory and strategic planning processes, staying informed about industry developments and trends.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage time effectively, working across multiple projects while maintaining focus and prioritizing tasks.
  • Familiarity with WA planning frameworks is highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Highlight high attention to detail and strong research capabilities, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
