About the Role

The Chief Risk and Security Officer will lead the implementation and maintenance of business continuity strategies, working cross-functionally to ensure Rest can operate in the face of disruptions.

This role requires a proactive individual with experience in risk assessment, emergency response planning, and business impact analysis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for physical security operations, ensuring the safeguarding of our people.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Head of Business Resilience and Head of IT Operations to develop, test, and maintain business unit-specific continuity plans.
  • Conduct regular business continuity drills and exercises to validate recovery strategies.
  • Support the business to develop and maintain Rest's business continuity plan and procedures.
  • Liaise with IT on disaster recovery efforts and align technology recovery strategy with business continuity objectives.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers involved in business continuity and physical security operations.
  • Prepare and present reports for senior management detailing business continuity readiness and physical security operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, emergency management, or related field required.
  • Extensive experience in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, physical security operations, or a similar role within a complex organisational environment – financial services experience preferred.
  • CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or MBCI (Member of the Business Continuity Institute) certification highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and strategies with the ability to identify and address operational risks.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
