Senior Associate, Bargaining & Legal Strategy

">Job Description

The Premier's Department is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Associate to play a critical role in shaping and supporting whole-of-government industrial relations strategies. As a key member of the Bargaining and Legal Strategy team, you will provide high-quality, timely, and strategic advice on bargaining and industrial relations issues that directly influence government priorities and organizational outcomes.

You will analyze complex industrial matters, identify risks and opportunities, and develop practical solutions that deliver positive results across the public sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and contribute to the delivery of whole-of-government priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on bargaining and industrial relations issues
  • Develop and implement industrial relations strategies
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to industrial relations
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation, government policies, and industrial instruments
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of industrial relations frameworks, including legislation, government policies, and industrial instruments
  • Ability to provide high-quality, timely advice on complex bargaining and industrial issues
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong skills in building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
