About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Home Assessor to join our team at Auto & General. As a Home Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing and reporting on damages to domestic insured properties in line with policy coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Damage Assessment: Attend clients' properties and accurately report on building damage.
  • Scope of Works: Provide accurate Scopes of Works for rectification works to be carried out on insurable events.
  • Claims Support: Review expert reports, provide technical advice and recommendations on policy coverage to our claims team.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Submit reports, review SOW's and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Best Method of Repair: Determine and advise on the overall best method of repair of the building.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Adhere to high customer service expectations and conduct customer satisfaction checks.
  • Project Coordination: Manage complex / large loss claims and achieve consistent adherence to key performance measures (KPI).
  • Virtual Assessments: Conduct virtual / desktop assessments & triage.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory and industry and company requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in managing quality building work and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Building Methodology: Strong understanding of building methodology.
  • Scopes of Works: Background in producing accurate scopes of works.
  • Time Management: Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
  • Communication: Reputable communication skills and conflict resolution handling.
  • Builder Management: Experience in managing, coaching and appraising builders.
  • Business Relationships: Proven experience in building effective business relationships with builders.
  • Insurance Experience: Insurance experience preferred, but not essential.
