Finance Business Partner Claims and Assessing Specialist

Purpose of the RoleThe Finance Business Partner informs and supports key performance delivery and execution across the Claims & Assessing (C&A) Division, including playing a key part in the Corporate Finance purpose of supporting and driving profitable growth throughout A&G.
Key Responsibilities- Provide financial support to the business with recommendations on commercial constructs, business cases, and models for new divisional initiatives.
- Ensure the delivery of financial and managerial reports to internal stakeholders, including the production, analysis, and actioning of monthly management, operational, and Board reporting as required.
- Provide input into business packs and materials to prepare and inform business cases.
- Identify performance opportunities through analysis and interpretation and provide clear insights to the C&A Director and leadership team.
- Support the planning and reforecasting processes for the C&A Division, providing adequate rigour and challenge.
- Seek and execute process improvements to the existing operating rhythm, team, and reporting, specifically within and across the wider business.
- Create and update relevant financial models to support new and ongoing business initiatives, focusing on driving process improvements and commercial insights.
- Understand financial implications and risks, including mitigation, of performance, projects, initiatives, contracts, and educate key stakeholders on these, including translation to operational results.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including Support teams, Corporate Finance, Group Finance, and Data Analytics & Insights teams, and the wider business to ensure effective delivery of key objectives.
Essential:
- Formal qualifications in a relevant area and/or CA/CPA accreditation.
- Five years' experience in a finance role in a comparable organization environment.
- A high level of self-awareness and personal effectiveness.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with TM1, PowerBI, or similar analytics tools.
- Specific experience in the Banking, Finance & Insurance, and/or Technology industry and associated understanding and knowledge of current and emerging regulatory, commercial, technology, and operational trends.
