Busy Bees Australia Employer Pty Ltd is seeking a dynamic and experienced Educational Leader to join their management team in Maitland. As an Educational/Program Leader, you will work collaboratively with the Service management to help your service reach the heights of success.

Essential Qualifications and Licences

  • A Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent/higher qualification as recognized by ACECQA) is required for this position.
  • You must have a current and valid Working With Children Check or be able to obtain one.
  • A First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis is also necessary.
  • Current and valid Australian Work Rights are essential.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS to ensure quality practices and outcomes. They should have proven experience in leadership roles in an Early Childhood setting with leadership skills to guide, mentor, and support educators, fostering continuous improvement.

This role offers a competitive salary package, including above-award rates and additional educational leader allowance. You will also receive a laundry allowance and annual uniform allocation, as well as generous childcare gap fee discounts for Busy Bees permanent service staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead reflective discussions to enhance practice and implementation of learning frameworks, fostering a culture of growth, teamwork, and positivity.
  • Support and mentor staff by modelling high-quality interactions and program practices, stepping in as needed to demonstrate best practices.
  • Collaborate with families and early childhood professionals, forming partnerships with local services to strengthen community ties.
  • Regularly assess routines, learning experiences, and child interactions, providing feedback to improve effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, assess risks, and uphold service standards in alignment with governing bodies.
  • Document and reflect on children's learning to inform curriculum decisions, supporting educators in developing their documentation style.

Competitive Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum
