Role Overview

The Program Lead role at St Nicholas Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Educational Program and Practice. This role involves motivating, supporting, and mentoring educators through engagement in professional conversations and critical reflection, hands-on learning, and professional development opportunities.

This is a permanent full-time position located at our Maitland Service. The successful candidate will be a dedicated and passionate individual who is committed to developing the future of children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Educational Program and Practice.
  • Motivate, support, and mentor educators through professional conversations and critical reflection.
  • Engage in hands-on learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop engaging and inspiring learning environments that are inclusive of all children.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to be proactive in implementing curriculum.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills within Children Services.
  • Dedicated to developing the future of children.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Early Childhood Teaching Degree as identified by Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority or an approved Diploma level qualification for the purposes of the education and care services, national law and regulations.
  • Child protection qualification.
  • Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training.
  • Working with Children Check verification number.
