At Busy Bees child care in Maitland, a 96-place service, you'll find a warm and nurturing learning environment and inspiring learning opportunities for children aged birth to 5 years. Our purpose-built facilities are filled with educational play space and Educators who are dedicated to encouraging children to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Educators to deliver high-quality care and education to children.
  • Work collaboratively with the Service Manager to achieve service goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage daily operations, including staffing, parent communications, and service administration.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification as recognized by ACECQA.
  • Current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.
  • First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.
  • Australian Work Rights & Photo ID.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS) to support quality outcomes.
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team, especially in the absence of the Service Manager.
  • Capability in managing daily operations, including staffing and parent communications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with families, staff, and regulatory bodies.
  • Proficiency in management software for communication, documentation, and reporting & ability to address and resolve issues within the service.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development & Skills in mediating challenges among staff or with families.
