Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Night Manager will independently oversee night operations, guaranteeing a seamless experience for guests.
  • This includes managing guest relations, handling complaints or issues, and providing exceptional service throughout the night shift.
  • Accurate financial transactions and reports are ensured through regular audits.
  • The safety and security of all guests and staff are paramount, achieved through regular property checks.
  • Collaboration with the front office ensures efficient check-ins, check-outs, and guest queries.
  • Night Managers also provide food and beverage services to hotel guests, including bar service, food preparation, and espresso coffee preparation.
  • Assistance with hotel reservations is provided, encompassing email management, telephone bookings, and online inquiries.
  • Cross-departmental coordination is essential to meet guests' needs.
  • In emergency situations, such as medical issues, fire alarms, or security concerns, the Night Manager will take charge.
  • Adherence to hotel policies, procedures, and regulations is mandatory.
  • Training new starters in Night Audit procedures is an important aspect of this role.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A background in a similar leadership role, preferably within the hospitality sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide colleagues.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to customer service.
