Night Manager

Job Description:

The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing the Night Team and delivering exceptional customer service during late-night shifts. This role involves managing finances, performing essential accounting tasks, and ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of hotel activities in the absence of Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payments, including room charges, debit, credit, cash, and cheques, according to established procedures.

  • Check guests in, out, and handle wake-up call requests.

  • Answer phones and respond to overnight guest queries.

  • Run or supervise night audit property management systems or manual equivalents.

  • Perform duties such as concierge services and special guest requests.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Background in Hotel Front Office operations.

  • Experience in similar roles highly regarded.

  • Knowledge of Opera is crucial for success.

  • Able to multitask and work well under pressure.

  • Accounting and mathematics skills for accurate auditing and payment processing.

  • Cash handling experience for counting and securing bank and processing cash payments.

  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with PMS software.

  • Strong verbal communication and good listening skills.

  • Customer service experience.
