About the Role

The Replenishment Buyer plays a critical role in supporting business growth by analyzing product sell-through, making data-driven decisions for replenishment, executing and tracking purchase orders from origin to warehouse, and preparing reports to inform buying team decisions.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify and procure new and replenishment styles across multiple categories under the direction of the Director of Planning and Replenishment.
  2. Perform administrative tasks related to creating and maintaining accurate purchase orders for selected departments.
  3. Maintain departmental stock levels within 10 weeks of cover.
  4. Ensure all replenished items meet sizing requirements (AU 4-16, XS-XL) and collaborate with suppliers to expand size ranges.
  5. Partner with leadership to develop pre-season inventory and sales plans that align with product rankings, merchandising strategies, and financial goals.
  6. Negotiate better costs with suppliers to increase margin for departments.
  7. Meet or exceed full Order-to-Budget (OTB) each month, subject to leadership approval.
  8. Maintain a maximum 10% variance in excess of budget when closing monthly stock on hand.
  9. Review top 20 sellers by region (US/AU) daily to prevent Out-of-Stock situations on top sellers at size variant level.
  10. Accurately maintain IP tags for all products within departments.
  11. Analyze high return rates for items in departments and make informed decisions about improving quality or ceasing to carry styles (subject to leadership approval).

Stock Cover

  • Order 10 weeks of cover from the landing date, accounting for a 6-week lead time from suppliers.
  • Ensure all replenished items are purchased 'x-works' unless prior approval from leadership.
  • Zero out repeat styles with more than 2 sizes sold out.
  • Conduct a weekly sweep for each department, aligned with other weekly goals.
  • Monitor the on-order filter to ensure adequate cover based on recent sales trends.
  • Develop a cover plan for Chinese New Year in partnership with leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a planner/buyer.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for the brand and product, connecting with our target customer.
