Employment Specialist Role

This role is an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of individuals with mental health disabilities.


About the Job

The successful candidate will work within our new contract, delivering employment services using evidence-based practices. They will strive to exceed performance targets, delivering sustainable employment outcomes and contributing to the overall success of the service.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of participants, providing tailored support to empower them to achieve their employment goals.
  • Delve into the world's most evidence-based approach to employment for people with mental illness.
  • Spearhead vocational profiling, job search, resume and interview preparation, placement, post-placement support and ongoing support.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications
  • A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification (Employment Services, Community Services, Mental Health, or related field).
  • Experience in employment services, mental health support, or disability services.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with participants, their supports and employers.
  • Business development skills and local employer connections.
  • A current driver's licence and your own vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain all required clearances (NDIS, Working with Children, Police Check).
