About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Assessor to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of our Claims team, you will be responsible for assessing property loss and damage, determining policy coverage, and working closely with stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess property loss or damage, determine policy coverage, and work closely with Builders, Engineers, Restorers, and Scoping Consultants.
  • Proactively communicate clear and accurate advice, solutions, timeframes, and claim progress to stakeholders, including customers, claims managers, repairers, and suppliers.
  • Deliver professional and brilliant service when completing on-site, desktop, and virtual assessments, interacting with customers as requested by claims managers.
  • Support claims managers to identify customer resolution strategies to minimise customer escalations.
  • Determine an appropriate claim fulfilment method that balances customer needs with business outcomes.
  • Identify customers experiencing vulnerability and take appropriate action to ensure the customer is supported.
  • Respond to customer and stakeholder requests within expected or agreed timeframes.
  • Clearly document all decisions made and reasons, including ownership details, reserve changes, and acceptance/rejection of claims.

What You'll Bring

  • A minimum 2 years' experience in home claims insurance, assessing, loss adjusting, or property management.
  • A strong ability to interpret policies and determine the correct policy response.
  • The capability to use different technology and systems.
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
  • A proven performer in customer service roles.
  • Skill in analysis, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • A current unrestricted driver's licence.

Salary Range: AU$90,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and benefits.
