**Duties**:

- Inspect damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage.
- Document and photograph the damage to provide a comprehensive report.
- Calculate the cost of repairs needed to restore the vehicle to its pre-damaged condition.
- Consider labour, parts, and other associated costs in the estimation.
- Review insurance claims related to vehicle damage.
- Verify policy details and coverage to determine the extent of financial responsibility.
- Communicate with vehicle owners, repair shops, and insurance companies to gather information.
- Explain assessment findings and repair cost estimates to various stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining the assessment findings, repair estimates, and other relevant information.
- Ensure accuracy and clarity in reporting.
- Negotiate repair costs with repair shops and service providers.
- Work towards fair and reasonable settlements.
- Enter assessment details, repair cost estimates, and other relevant information into databases or computer systems.

**Requirements**:

- A automotive trade qualification certificate 3 or higher
- Driver’s licence
