About the Job

As a dedicated member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to our Intellectual Property department. This involves advising on the prosecution and management of our extensive IP portfolio, which spans multiple markets and includes trademarks, copyrights, designs, and patents.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing incoming correspondence, instructing external lawyers accordingly, and managing our web-based IP portfolio management database, WebTMS. This database houses over 4000 trademarks, copyrights, designs, and patents in over 100 countries, requiring meticulous attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support to the IP team by advising on prosecution and management of our IP portfolio.
  • Assessing incoming correspondence and instructing external lawyers accordingly.
  • Managing our web-based IP portfolio management database, WebTMS.
  • Extracting and inputting pertinent information and data, managing deadlines and actions within WebTMS, and ensuring case status is current and accurate.
  • Owning tracking and communication of related case dates, including renewals.
  • Obtaining, analysing and actioning status reports from external lawyers.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of IP law and prosecution procedures across multiple markets.
  • Trademark and legal support skills, including managing an IP database.
  • Strong client service orientation.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and research skills.
  • Commitment to high work standards and excellent attention to detail.
  • Will to learn and take on new challenges.
