
In-House IP Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a key player in managing the company's intellectual property portfolio. You will take ownership of a diverse set of trademarks, patents, and copyrights, gaining exposure to global issues at the intersection of technology, creativity, and brand protection.
The role involves working across a wide variety of IP matters from licensing, litigation, and global regulatory issues to commercial agreements with IP elements. You will have the chance to collaborate with overseas advisers on cross-border IP strategy and provide input on general commercial matters as part of the wider in-house team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's trademarks, patents, and copyright portfolio.
- Advise on global IP transfers and regulatory requirements.
- Support the business on IP litigation and settlement work.
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with IP elements.
- Collaborate with overseas advisers on cross-border IP strategy.
- Provide input on general commercial matters as part of the wider in-house team.
Requirements:
- Admitted as a solicitor in Australia (or equivalent overseas jurisdiction).
- 3–5 years PQE in IP, ideally from a top-tier, international, or specialist IP firm.
- Exposure to both contentious and non-contentious IP matters.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach, with excellent communication skills.
