Job Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a diverse IP portfolio and gain exposure to global issues at the intersection of technology, creativity, and brand protection.

As a key member of the legal team, you will be responsible for managing trademarks, patents, and copyright portfolios, advising on global IP transfers and regulatory requirements, supporting the business on IP litigation and settlement work, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with IP elements, collaborating with overseas advisers on cross-border IP strategy, and providing input on general commercial matters as part of the wider in-house team.

Requirements:

  • You must be admitted as a solicitor in Australia or equivalent overseas jurisdiction
  • You should have 3–5 years PQE in IP, ideally from a top-tier, international, or specialist IP firm
  • You should have exposure to both contentious and non-contentious IP matters
  • You must have a proactive, commercially minded approach, with excellent communication skills

This role offers a unique opportunity for responsibility, autonomy, and the chance to directly influence commercial outcomes. You will work closely with a Head of Legal and General Counsel who are committed to mentoring and developing their team.
